Sogavare says Solomon Islands must decide its future

Solomon Islands must now seriously decide its future. Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare says Solomon Islands must move forward and cannot continue to live in the past.

He says the country must decide on the type of future it wants for its children and future generations.

Mr Sogavare says people cannot continue to cry over the past while expecting the country to move forward. He says that by doing this the country will only be dragged backward.

The Prime Minister says Solomon Islands does not need to be told by experts on how to go about addressing its problems. He says the country's problems is the the attitude of people.

Mr Sogavare says Solomon islands must go beyond relying solely on the extraction of our natural resources. He says the country needs to attract investment that develop natural resources and that resource owners must get the maximum benefits.
