Solomon Islands doctor passes highest exam in Australia

A local had created history for herself and the country in completing her Fellowship Programme in Paediatrics and Childhealth. Dr Jennifer Boseto from Choiseul Province becomes the first Solomon Islands medical doctor ever to have passed the examinations of The Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), specialising in Paediatrics and Childhealth.

The FRACP examinations are generally regarded to be very tough passing only a limited number of candidates each year, who meet the required passing mark in the theory exam Part 1 and the required standard of performance in the Clinical viva exam Part 2.

Having passed Part 1 in March this year in Brisbane made her eligible to do the Part 2 for which she was examined in Sydney last month in July, and also successfully passed it.

Dr Boseto said: “This achievement is a culmination of hard work, perseverance, strong determination and above all, God’s help.”
