Solomon PM happy with Paris Trip
Mr Sogavare, who led a Government delegation to the Second France Oceania Summit in Paris says the conclusions of the summit were broad and carries far reaching benefits to the communities of the Pacific region.
The Prime Minister says issues discussed mainly focused on subjects of common interest in respect of strengthening French-Pacific relations and regional cooperation.
He says leaders stressed the need to make the Pacific region one of peace, harmony, security and economic prosperity.
Prime Minister Sogavare says these developments will be based on the values of democracy and respect for and promotion of human rights and good governance.
Mr Sogavare says the leaders re-affirmed their commitment to the Biketawa Declaration 2000 in which Pacific Leaders made a commitment to act collectively in response to requests for assistance in times of crises.
Mr Sogavare was among heads of governments and states from Pacific forum countries who took part in the summit.
