Malaita Province wins bid to host 2008 Solomon Games
Malaita Province has won the bid to host the 4th Solomon Games tournament in 2008.
Premier Ruben Moli, who's leading his province's bidding team in Makira says with only about 18 months remaining, planning process will have to start immediately.
Mr Moli says he was very pleased that the decision to host the next games went his province's way.
He says a lot of efforts have been put into his province's bid, and there wouldn't be any better result than the decision made at the meeting last night.
SIBC News understands that four other provinces, including the Western Province, submitted their bids to host the same tournament.
