North Malaita MP calls on Politicians not to use youths for their own ends

Member of Parliament for North Malaita Enele Kwanairara appeals to politicians not to use innocent people especially youths to work for them in criminal activities to achieve their own ends.

"I want to kindly ask us politicians, if we want to entertain our political games and political aims, please do not use innocent people, and youths which we take advantage of them to do the work for us, to do what we like to bring the government down."

Speaking in Parliament on the Motion of Sine Die, Mr Kwanairara says the resignation of Snyder Rini and the subsequent down fall of his government is the second time, politicians have used people to meet their own ends.He says the first was when the former Prime Minister Bartholomew Ulufa'alu was forced to resign under the barrel of guns in 2000 during the ethnic tension in the country. Mr Kwanairara expresses the concern because he says many people including youths from his constituency (North Malaita) are now in prison because politicians use them for their own gains.
