PNG's PRKS Soccer franchise club defeats touring Solomons' Marist FC 3-1
Papua New Guinea's Petroleum Resources Kutubu Souths (PRKS) soccer franschise took a sweet revenge against its sister club, Marist FC from the Solomon Islands, beating them 3-1 in a one-off international friendly at Telikom Soccer Park in Port Moresby yesterday afternoon.
Marist opened the scorebook 25 minutes into the game when Abraham Iniga belted the ball past goalie Godfrey Baniau.
Marist defended the lead 1-0 until half time.
After the break, Souths scored in the 66th minute from a penalty when Eric Komeng drove the ball to find Enoch Abraham who scored.
Three minutes later, Abraham dummied with a good corner kick to see Frank Tulem net the second goal before Komeng contributed one in the dying minutes to wrap up the game.
