Isabel provincial youths to participate in Youth Parliament initiative in Buala

Isabel Province will hold a Youth Parliament from the 22nd to 28th of this month.

Coordinator of the event Wilson Karamui says this is a rural-based initiative and is aimed at empowering the young people as decision makers.

He says youths taking part in the event will discuss and endorse the Isabel Youth Policy and formulate the Isabel Youth Action Plan.

Mr Karamui says the program will be divided into various activities both indoor and outdoor.

He says it is a program that will look at various issues of cultural, social and developmental nature.

Mr Karamui says 44 youth parliamentarians will attend the Isabel Youth Parliament 2007 session.

The youth will represent the 16 wards and six secondary schools in Isabel Province.
