Auckland City FC signs Solomon duo Henry Faarodo and George Suri for 2007/08 season

Solomon Islands national soccer players, Henry Faarodo Jnr and George Suri, are two of the latest new signings for the Auckland City squad that was released this week ahead of the 2007/08 OFC O-League and New Zealand Football Championship (NZFC) season.

It is understood the inclusion of the Solomons duo, particularly Faarodo who is a midfielder and forward, as well as Suri a defender will bolster the Colin Tuaa coached side which also include former South Korea international, Ki-Hyung Lee, All Whites Craig Wylie and Jeff Campbell, Fiji's Salesh Kumar, and Northern League striker Eliezer Anello as other new signings.

Head Coach Colin Tuaa, along with assistant, Clive Campbell, is very excited about the makeup of the squad and is delighted with the way the team is shaping up.

"Clive and I have been most impressed with the work ethic and commitment from the players so far. There is a great team spirit building and the atmosphere both on and off the field is electric. We possess many talented individuals and if we go the way I believe we can, we will be tough to beat this season."

Last season, Henry Faarodo was a formidable player for the Canterbury United while George Suri was a regular defender for Waitakere United.
