By Ali Tepuke

Solomon Islands Tennis ace, Michael Leong, advances to the quarterfinal after two impressive wins.

Solomon Islands medal hopeful, Michael Leong, graces his way into the quarterfinal with an impressive 6-1, 6-0 win over Tongan Hansen Taufa and an equally impressive 6-1, 6-2 win Roween Tchen of Tahiti.

With the double win, both in straight sets, Michael Leong will now take on Leon So'onalole of Samoa. With the home crowd behind So'onalole, Leong will have to dig dip to advance to the next round.

Michael Leong is the only Solomon Islander through to the Quarter Finals after Junior Kari bowed out earlier in the tournament.
