Integrated Framework Unit opens in Solomons' Foreign Affairs, External Trade and Immigration Ministry

The new Integrated Framework - National Implementation Unit (IF-NIU) based in the External Trade Division of the Solomon Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, External Trade and Immigration was opened last week.

A National Consultation Workshop was held earlier in mid June to educate various representatives from both the Public and Private Sectors about the importance of Integrated Framework.

On Wednesday, light refreshment was held in the Ministry’s Conference Room to welcome two of the IF-NIU team, including the IF-NIU Senior Project Officer/Acting Coordinator Mr Stephenson Talogwari and Assistant Project Officer Mr George Tuti.

Speaking on behalf of the two new Officers Mr Talogwari said that they were both happy and proud to be part of the new IF–UNIT.

Currently, the UNIT is busy getting ready for the first meeting of the (SI) National Steering Committee (NSC). The (SI) NSC Committee is made up of key sectoral ministries as well as PSOs and NSAs. The IF-NIU, IF Focal Point (also based in the Trade Division) and the NSC form the IF National Structure.
