Solomons long distance wizard athlete steps up training in the Kangaroo land ahead of Samoa Games

A Solomon Islands prominent long distance athlete and medal hopeful, Mr Chris Votu (pictured) of Guadalcanal is currently leaving no stones unturned as he stepped up his preparations in Brisbane, Australia for the upcoming 13th South Pacific Games in Samoa in late August.

According to reports from the Athletic Solomons Federation, their athletes are very serious with their final preparations in an effort to try and improve the nation's medal tally from the 2003 South Pacific Games in Suva, Fiji.

It is understood the South Pacific Games is one the most prestigous event of the Pacific whereby athletes of various Pacific Island countries convened at one location to compete against each other.

Solomons long distance wizard, Chris Votu is under the command of Father Garry whilst he is in Brisbane. Chris is settling in very well and now he is into the business for Samoa.
