Lau/Baelelea politicians pledge their full committment to work for their rural people

The member of Parliament for Lau-Mbaelelea in the Northern region of Malaita and the Provincial Assembly members of the constituency have pledged to cooperate and develop their area.

Member of Parliament Samuel Bently Ragosomani and the three Provincial members met this week to discuss how best they can cooperate to improve the lives of their people.

The MP says he will be working with the Provincial members to set up a time-frame to inform and get the views of the Lau-Mbaelelea people about Government's rural development programme under the "Bottom-Up Approach" policy.

"What we would like to do is involve our people in what we plan to do. While everyone will not be satisfied, at least most of the people will involved in the the activities that we plan. So I am appealing to our people to wait and be patient for the programmes that we are planning."

The Lau-Mbaelelea Provincial Assembly members was led by experienced politician, Ben Foukona.
