Totori scores 20th goal to help Manawatu demolish Team Wellington in NZFC

Prominent Solomon Islands elusive striker in the current season of the New Zealand Football Championships (NZFC), Benjamin Totori (pictured in green uniform) has maintained his boots' accuracy with his 20th goal of the season in just 16 matches.

This means that Totori has a more realistic chance of securing the prestigous "golden boot" award ahead of any other player in the championships as he has a staggering ten goals margin ahead of second place holder, Graham Little of Team Wellington who only has ten goals. The championships has five remaining rounds of games before it is concluded on March 10.

In the match yesterday at the FMG Stadium in Palmerston North, YoungHeart Manawatu crawled back into second place on the NZFC table with an emphatic 5-0 win over Team Wellington. The three points for Manawatu keeps them hot on the heels of league leaders, Waitakere United who have 37 points after 16 matches. Manawatu currently has 33 points after 16 games.

Another Solomon Islander, Alick Maemae also volleyed a 67th minute goal in yesterday's match to ensure Solomon's contribution to the Manawatu victory. Other goals for Manawatu were scored by Tim Richardson, Rod Brown, and Hayden Laird.
