Solomons government aware of moves to topple government
Mr Lilo said while MPs from both sides of the house spoke in support of the budget, he was aware there was a plan to move a no confidence motion against the Sogavare government, although he would not say when or who would move it.
The parliament passed the budget in its second reading and a fuller debate on it will be held today.
Meanwhile, it’s understood cabinet ministers and backbenchers have been meeting a number of opposition MPs seeking their support if the no confidence motion is moved.
