Solomon Islands youths to travel to Japan
Japanese Charge'd Affaires Kiochi Kodama says the youths will discuss various issues common to youths around the world, create friendship and cultural exchanges.
During the trip, the young men and women will be able to meet leaders of countries they visit and hold discussions on youth issues common around the world.
Permanent secretary of the Department of Home Affairs Fred Fakari'i urges the youths to positively portray and promote Solomon Islands during the trip.
He says this is a responsibility placed on them by the people of Solomon Islands when they were selected to take part in the 45 day trip.
