SI Governor General calls on youths to make a difference
He says Solomon Islands needs the youths in rural areas and urban centres to help in its development.
Sir Nathaniel says the government cannot properly implement its rural development if youths are not involved. He says youth groups in both urban and rural areas need to organise themselves to be able to get help from the National government.
Sir Nathaniel says youth leaders must also work with their respective members of Parliament to use funding made available to them for development.
"The government can only be able to realistically help the youths of our villages and urban centres if the youth leaders are able to effectively organise their members and are also able to draw up appropriate development projects for funding purposes. I earnestly encourage all youth leaders to become strategically organised in 2007 and beyond".
