CBSI Governor meets Solomon students in Fiji over the weekend
Mr Hou was in Fiji during the last week to participate in a regional conference in Nadi. After that he travelled to Suva to meet his CBSI staff who are currently studying at the University of the South Pacific, as well as meeting his counterpart at the Reserve Bank of Fiji.
On Sunday morning, he was invited by the SSEC Fellowship group to share God's word with the students. This was followed by a meeting with interested students who are about to graduate with majors in Economics, Accounting, Business studies, Banking and Administration who are thinking of pursuing a career in the banking sector. Mr Hou outlined the various roles and functions of certain departments within CBSI and where they will be looking for new recruitments over the next five years.
In the afternoon, there was another meeting with all SISA students, Solomon Islands lecturers, and working elites in Suva where the governor spoke about the current status of the nation's economy in terms of development. This was followed by light refreshments. A good number of students came to attend those meetings.
