North Malaita MP wants Quintales removed from Solomon Islands

The leader of Independent members of parliament says Ramon Quintales deserves to be considered 'Persona non grata' instead of the Australian High Commissioner Patrick Cole.

Daniel Enele Kwanairara says no person in the country has ever aroused much public attention and outrage in the media as Mr Quitales.

The North Malaita MP says Mr Quitales is behaving in a more serious and undesirable manner than Mr Cole.

Mr Kwanairara says the Independent office wants Mr Quitales investigated for his meddling and involvement in national politics.

He says Solomon Islands should forget about the bank, investigate Mr Quitales, and if he is guilty, expel him from the country. Mr Kwanairara says Solomon Islands doesn't need any more political instability and disrespect.

He says Mr Quitales should not interfere in internal matters, respect the kindness of the country for allowing him to live here and leave if he has outlived his usefulness.
