North Malaita MP talks to his people about development plans

Initial work to map out developmental course of North Malaita had started.

North Malaita MP Enele Kwanairara and his constituency secretary Francis Kairi are currently holding meetings in wards 7, 8 and 9 in North Malaita.

At meetings in the past few days, Mr Kwanairara and Kairi outlined the future plan for the constituency, while at the same time receive suggestions and concerns from voters.

SIBC's North Malaita Correspondent John Kiri says the initiative is to make people feel they are part of any development.

He says experiences in the past showed that development can only be achieved through working together.

Mr Kiri quotes Mr Kwanairara as saying that he is prepared to assist communities and organisations who are willing to help themselves first.

The people of North Malaita are very thankful for the initiative taken by their Member of Parliament.
