Malaita Premier support RAMSI

The Premier of Malaita Province, Reuben Moli, has emphasised the importance of RAMSI continuing to provide assistance to Solomon Islands in the short-term.

In response to suggestions that RAMSI was no longer needed, the premier said it would be most unfortunate if this were to happen.

He said the people on Malaita appreciate the sense of added security that comes from having members of the PPF working with the RSIP to ensure law and order is maintained.

He said this leaves everybody free to concentrate on the important task of achieving sustainable development in the Province.

The premier also acknowledged the work being done by RAMSI advisers in central government Ministries and Departments.
